Today let’s discuss the Top 10 best Cricket Commentators of All time. The thing with Cricket is that it is defined by nothing other than passion. It is passion for the game that makes it special. And, the only people who can infuse life into these nail-biting Cricket matches are none other than Commentators. Yes, I agree that there are few commentators who talk about things that make no sense, but on the other hand there are certain commentators without whose voice we feel World Cricket is incomplete. Their voice tone, their words, their ability to express a shot or a fielding effort or a brilliant stumping or a classy bowling delivery makes the game so much more interesting and most importantly entertaining.
As a Cricket fan, there are certain voices that I grew up hearing such as the voice of all-time best commentators in International Cricket – Richie Benaud, Sunil Gavaskar, Harsha Bhogle, Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjrekar and etc. If I talk about my favourite then it has to be Richie Benaud and Harsha Bhogle. Both of them have this incredible ability to say the right word at the right time. I wonder how they get those one-liners! I mean a boundary is just a boundary if you don’t have a commentator who says, “Look at the magnificent effort with which he – player – smashed the ball down the ground” or When MS Dhoni hits a lofty six to win the World Cup, you hear Ravi Shastri saying, “Dhoni finishes of in style, India wins the World Cup after 28 years and Party Begins in Mumbai!” you feel for the batsman, you feel for the team. You begin to feel as if you are watching the game live. Their words infuse energy in your veins and it’s like they have stepped on a live wire within you. That’s the power of commentary! So, let’s take a quick look at Top 10 Best Cricket Commentators of all time.
