A batting record many batsmen would want is the “fastest fifty”. It’s also a joy to watch these batsmen go absolutely crazy with the bat and destroy the bowlers. K.L RAHUL- 14 BALLS:

K.L Rahul is one of those batsmen, who is extremely hard to stop when he is in form. We have seen the talent in this guy and how he has single-handedly won games for India, but also for his IPL teams. This particular fifty came against Delhi Capitals. K.L was absolutely unstoppable in this match, I mean he scored a fifty in just 14 balls. Rahul had a strike rate of 318 and hit 6 fours and 4 sixes.  He went on to score 51 and laid the foundation for his team.

YUSUF PATHAN- 15 BALLS:

Yusuf Pathan is the type of batsman who does not know how to play slow. From the minute he comes in, he is constantly trying to clear the boundary. On this particular day, he was very successful in doing so. His carnage came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Pathan came into bat at number 4 and immediately took the game away from SRH. Yusuf had a strike rate of 328 and scored a blazing 72 off just 22 balls. In his fiery innings, he smashed 5 fours and 7 sixes.

SUNIL NARINE- 15 BALLS:

We all have seen Sunil Narine’s exploits with the bat. I dare say, his batting is as good as his bowling. In the match against RCB, Narine went berserk. He was hitting the RCB bowlers all over the ground. He scored his fifty in just 15 balls. In that game, he scored a quickfire 54 off just 17 balls and hit 6 fours and 4 sixes.

SURESH RAINA- 16 BALLS:

Next, we have, “MR IPL”. Suresh Raina has had some memorable moments in the yellow jersey, but this one has to take the cake. Raina’s blazing fifty came against Kings XI Punjab. In that game, it looked like everything he touched went for a boundary. CSK had a solid target to chase down, and when it looked like all hopes had been lost, Raina stepped up and started his destruction. He hit his fifty in just 16 balls. He went on to score 87 off just 25 balls. He smashed 6 sixes and 12 fours. However, Raina’s escapades with the bat went in vain as CSK lost the match by 25 runs.

KIERON POLLARD- 17 BALLS:

What can I say about Kieron Pollard? In this game against Kolkata Knight Riders, he showed absolutely no mercy to the bowlers and was smashing every single bowl for a boundary. When all the other batsmen had collapsed, he and his captain ensured that the victory would be with them. Pollard scored 51 in just 17 balls, hitting 6 sixes and 2 fours. He had a strike rate of 300.

CHRIS GAYLE- 17 BALLS:

I am certain you all expected his name to be the first one on this list. Chris Gayle or “Universal Boss” as we all know is one of the most joyful batsmen to watch. This man goes ham from the very first ball, and 99% of the time, the ball is clearing the boundary. This match against Kolkata Knight Riders was the one where he scored his 175. That innings broke quite a few records. One among them was the 6th fastest to a fifty. He just took 17 balls to hit his half-century, when compared to the rest of the innings, this is a pretty small feat.

SUNIL NARINE- 17 BALLS:

I am certain the West Indies have some magic in their food. Another Sunil Narine special, and this time it was again RCB who had to face the brunt of his wrath. After the RCB batsmen had put a solid 177 on the scoreboard, Narine went blasting from the very first ball itself. He scored 50 in just 17 balls. His innings consisted of 5 sixes and 4 fours.

HARDIK PANDYA- 17 BALLS:

India’s master hitter. Hardik scored his 50 in just 17 balls. This was against Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR put a mammoth 232 on the scoreboard, and it was only Hardik who shined for the Mumbai Indians. His  91 in just 34 balls almost took MI over the line, but in the end, they fell short of 47 runs. Pandya’s innings must be praised, he hit 9 sixes and 6 fours and had a strike rate of 267.

ADAM GILCHRIST- 17 BALLS:

To all the younger fans out there, I highly recommend you to watch highlights of this legends batting. To the rest of us, I don’t think anyone of us is surprised to see him on this list. His fifty came against the Delhi Capitals. In that match, he scored a mesmerizing 64 and smashed 5 sixes and 4 fours.

ISHAN KISHAN- 17 BALLS:

The future of Indian cricket, Ishan Kishan’s 50 came against Kolkata Knight Riders. He went on to score 62 in just 21 balls, hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes. His innings guided MI to the victory line. Team India’s future is in safe hands.

So, this was a list of the Fastest 50 in IPL. Hope you enjoyed this list.
