#1. 2008

Winners: Rajasthan Royals

This was the first year of IPL. The Winners of this Series was the Mighty Rajasthan Royals. They beat Chennai Super Kings by 3 runs in the finals hosted at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Yusuf Pathan of the Royals was named the Man of the Match and Shane Watson was awarded the player of the tournament.

#2. 2009

Winners: Deccan Chargers

The 2nd season of the IPL was even more popular than the first one. This season was hosted in South Africa and the finals was held in New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. Deccan Charges took on Royal Challengers Bangalore and won the match by 6 runs. Anil Kumble of Royal Challengers Bangalore was award the Man of the Match Award and Adam Gilchrist of the Champions side was awarded the Player of the Tournament Award.

#3. 2010

Winners: Chennai Super Kings

This was the first time that Chennai Super Kings were the Champions in IPL. The winners defeated Mumbai Indians by 22 runs and seized the trophy. This Match was hosted at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The talented Suresh Raina of CSK was awarded the Man of the Match Award while the Player of the Tournament Trophy went away to the Legend of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar of MI.

#4. 2011

Winners: Chennai Super Kings

This was the 2nd time that CSK seized the trophy and defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 58 runs. This Match was hosted at M. A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Murali Vijay of the winning side was awarded the Man of the Match award and Chris Gayle of the Runner up side was awarded the Player of the Tournament Award in this season of IPL.

#5. 2012

Winners: Kolkata Knight Riders

This was the 3rd time in a row that CSK Made it to the finals however, the KKRs were invincible lead by Gautam Gambhir and won the Fifth season of IPL Trophy by 5 wickets at the same M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Manvinder Bisla of the Knight Riders was awarded the Man of the Match Trophy while Sunil Narine of KKR was awarded the Player of the Tournament Award for his outstanding innings thought out the season.

#6. 2013

Winners: Mumbai Indians

This was the first victory of the mighty Mumbai Indians in the sixth season of IPL. They won the match by defeating CSK by 23 runs at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The six Machine Kieron Pollard of Mumbai Indians was awarded the Man of the Match Award and The celebrated all-rounder Shane Watson of Rajasthan Royals was awarded the Player of the Tournament Title.

#7. 2014

Winners: Kolkata Knight Riders

This was the second victory for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the seventh season of IPL, where they took on Kings XI Punjab and defeated them by 3 wickets. This Match was hosted at the historical M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Manish Pandey of Kolkata Knight Riders was awarded the Man of the Match Title and The Big Show or Glen Maxwell of the Kings XI Punjab was awarded the Player of the Tournament title.

#8. 2015

Winners: Mumbai Indians

This was the second victory of Mumbai Indians in the Eight season of IPL and it was also the 3rd time when the finals were between CSK and MI. CSK lost this tournament by 41 runs. This match was hosted at the Eden Gardens. The invincible Rohit Sharma of MI was awarded the Man of the Match Award while Andre Russel of KKR was awarded the Player of the tournament title.

Winners: Sunrisers Hyderabad

This was the first win for Sunrisers Hyderabad where they bet the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 runs. This Match was hosted at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Ben Cutting of Sunrisers Hyderabad was awarded the Man of the Match title and the RCB Skipper Virat Kohli was awarded with the Player of the Tournament Title.

This was the third victory for the Mumbai Indians where they won by 1 run and defeated Rising Pune Supergiants. This Finale was hosted at the scenic Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Krunal Pandya of Mumbai Indians was awarded the Man of the Match Title and Ben Stokes of Rising Pune Supergiant was awarded the Player of the Tournament Titile.

Winners: Chennai Super Kings

This was the third victory for Chennai Super Kings as they defeated SRH by 8 wickets. Hosted at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, Shane Watson of CSK was awarded the title of the Man of the Match and Sunil Narine of KKR was awarded the Player of the Tournament Title.

In the nail biting finals between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, MI Defeated CSK by 1 run. This was the fourth victory for Mumbai Indians becoming the most victorious team of the IPL seasons until now. This match was held at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Jasprit Bumrah of Mumbai Indians was awarded the Man of the Match and Andre Russell of Kolkata Knight Riders was awarded the title of Most Valuable Player.
